Pueblo Mágico is a series of intimate documentary shorts created for an interactive exhibit about the lives of small-town residents along the US-Mexico border.
From the sleepy town of Patagonia, Arizona, nestled in the heart of the borderlands of the Sonora Desert, the series explores the shared stories of residents whose multi-generational family histories are rooted in this cross-section of desert and mountain landscape on both sides of the contemporary US-Mexico border.
Pueblo Mágico premiered at Centre Never Apart in Montréal, Canada in January 2020 in tandem with an interactive and immersive installation. Read more about it here.
This project was created in affiliation with the Borderlands Restoration Network.
